Camera roll disappeared

Hi gulf-check to see if your restrictions are on. Go to iPad settings/general/restrictions. Turn off. See if that helped.

If not, one of the immediate fixes is to try this:

Do the first 2 steps first. Save step 3 as a last resort.

1. Force * the app to close?
2. Try to restart your iPad?
3. Try to do a soft reset?

You can try this in order, if an app becomes funky.*

Force the app to quit by pushing the home button twice to bring up your multi-task bar. This will show all the apps that you have visited. By long pressing the app in question, it will begin to jiggle-press the red circle with the negative sign on the app. It will only quit the app and not delete. Than try to re-open the app and test out.

If that doesn't work, restart the iPad by pressing the power switch down to power off.

Third is to do a soft reset by holding the power switch and home button together until you see the apple logo. Hope that helps!

I panicked about this once, make sure you're not in your photostream or albums. Check the top of the screen for what tab you're on, your Camera roll is the Photos tab. If youre in an album, arrow back ( top left corner) to Albums, then go to your Camera Roll from there.

Sounds simple, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who's done it. (I hope not!)

Aha-now I think that I understand what the OP was referring to. I read it as that her photo app disappeared. Thank you for your response. Yes, I do agree that it is a bit confusing trying to find the camera roll when cruising the 3 tabs.

Yes that is exactly what happened I was in albums and when I went to photos my camera roll was there and then it showed again as an album!
