I can't find the post, but does the person who reported their rubies as "stolen" and got them back after submitting a ticket have that email from GI still? Ill private message you my email so you can forward it, if you do.
They just told me it was an Eiffel task requirement, but I am certain it wasn't clearly listed, only discussed in the cheesy description they provide.
When I followed up with the message I screenshot below regarding others being told it was a glitch and refunded, I was told that during the Eiffel Tower quest I hadn't purchased credits which may have been used towards purchasing rubies which has me pissed off. I most certainly have so the rep is telling a bold faced lie. I've purchased about $20 worth in the past 6 weeks.
He also admits there was an issue bc they are fixing the problem in a new update.
