Iron beams were not too bad... I have, however, just completed my second successive day trying to collect silver beams and not one has showed up. I just don't get why GI want to be so annoying...

I can trade letters from mike. It's rare, but there is an option to exchange mike to Emma or Alex; can't remember which.

Thank you much for the heads up. I have 1 more Cupid to get before completing that part. Will collect a few more than needed.

Thanks über! That's good info. I'm on level three now. I remember from previous holiday runs that the upgrades are more of the items. I did collect extra arrows and hearts but I will really stock up on the cupids, thanks again.

I found it difficult on the silver beams too. After a day or two of none, there was a day of 3 followed by days of2. That let me finish up. Be patient. The tough thing is doing the tower at the same time of collecting valentine items. I'm at the level of collecting 1500 energy. Which in a way is making me be efficient on selecting the right exchanges. When I do a good one, using Meg's friend visits, I add a couple to the tower challenge.

Oh man I'm glad I was able to finish that part of the tower before Valentines quest, I bet the energy bar is driving you nuts! I still think they owe us a free energy bar refill for the initial letter glitches!

I'm down to 66k, but I now have my first double decker bus, so it is getting faster. I just have to stop hitting houses and adding 100 back to my population twice a day. I plan on getting a second double decker soon and that should really get things going, especially when I am not on line.

I have stopped the tower quest for now. I have all the magazines, but still need need to get 170 energy, but I need to do valentines first.

Delete the roads attached to your houses and then they won't accumulate people and you won't accidentally hit them and collect people when you don't want to.
 
Just another quick update - the second upgrade for the romantic hotel requires 60 of each item (heart, arrow, cupid) and nets you a grand total of 7,050 happiness. The first upgrade gets you 5,050 happiness. With 3 days left, wish you all luck.

Thank you for the updates - I don't think I'll even try to upgrade... In an hour I'll probably get the last cupids just to get the hotel... :-)
