I am having the same problem with contest Internet no connection error. Another irritating GI bug I'm sure.I finally got my Red Square finished. What a task! Now getting the game to recognize it has an Internet connection is another trouble ticket. I have rebooted, shut down and it's still saying for contests it has no Internet connection. I am obviously online typing this but it's the game.....big surprise.
Anyone know why I keep getting books from the bookstore? I have already fulfilled the 30 books needed for the Eiffel Tower. Still working on energy. Inventory shows I have 40 books. Will we need these later?

Fish done . Calendars almost done 3 more to go and cacao beans will finish at 4 am, an hr before my time runs out. Have to set an alarm for 4 am ( what a sad life i lead) or will miss out like I did on the ice fortress .
Can't celebrate yet, till done and dusted , thanks to GI

As long as you are on that task you will get books. When you finish the energy they will stop.
Anyone found any achievements out recently? I was gutted you could only build one Red Square as had the requirements nailed in just over 24 hours. For me it was 80 fish, 36 cocoa, and 22 calendars.
The swapping of factories out of storage is a great help if your prepared to buy the extra slots as now have 10 farms, 10 ranches, 10 dairies. Name is Joe City if you want to add me. Desperately looking or paid and free gifts to complete the challenges.
Only bad this is need to get pop down from 230k to zero to complete challenge! Doh
I got 27th in the dried fruit. I was hoping a lot of people was working on the Russian building so I gave it a shot. And I agree that the top winners are using something than what is legal or spending a boat load of cash. But I'm happy I got 2 silver medals. Now on to more contests. This may take a while to get the 15 required.
Have just finished the red square task with a few hours to go. I had the 27/20/22 combination to get with 3 farms, 1 paper mill and 1 ranch so I stored a lot of production buildings, and built 2 extra farms and 1 each more paper mill and ranch. Which I guess it's nice to have, I was hoping to build more of those to ease the bottleneck of production but I'm unlikely to rebuild the rest of my factories in the very near future as I'm also in the process of reducing population to get those two achievements! So far I've got down from 65k to 34k, so still a way to go, but at least now it feels possible!
I'm also just on the engineers task in the tower, which now I can concentrate on again.
Does anyone have the tea shop, by the way? Does it look worthwhile?
First post from a long time browser/lurker/user, thanks for the advice.
I am originally from Bavaria, but now western Maine. My closest mall is an hour from me, pretty rural here. I am fortunate to work from home and travel home to Germany once a quarter for work.Ok was wanting to ask, where is everyone from? I'm from western masses, far from Boston. But in Virginia this week helping the navy track and target missiles. Any gamers want to get together to share our game thoughts?
