How can you get the ipad2 to auto-fill logins and passwords in all situations? Currently, it's hit or miss.

Also, any idea where on the ipad it stores this stuff? On the PC I use Norton and can go in and add a new site and password.

Thanks.

You probably can't do anything about it. It is often hit or miss even on a computer. It is up to websites to properly identify each field so that auto-fill functions work properly. Currently there is no standard, so the browser has to do the best it can; and there is no way to tweak in on the iPad.

With passwords I think I'd just as soon it failed rather than enter my password in the clear on some webpage.

I saw a headline the other day about Google implementing some kind of text field ID tag in the Chrome bowser, and wanting the industry to accept it as a new web standard. I probably should have read the article.

Twerppoet is so right. The autofills in my mac doesn't work that smooth so I don't expect it on the pad. Well, for security reasons, it's better that it misses sometimes. :)

Also, some sites block macros and auto fill ins for safety reasons...for example Schwab disallows them on typing passwords
