Are Jpg pictures viewable from gmail through ipad?

I get jpg attached mails but i can not see pictures or download them?

Hey all u need to do is c lick on the image.It opens it in a new tab.then touch the photo and hold for a few seconds it will ask you to save image and copy link.
Select save image and it automatically shows up on your photo's library
