What's new

Apple wireless keyboard used on Mac computers can they be used on iPad2?

Patience. Like most forums there are far more readers than posters, and since it's international you never know who is awake and online.

Though the Accessories forum would have been more topical.

And the answer is, that Apple's newer aluminum bluetooth keyboards work fine with the iPad. Most of the special keys work as well, allowing you to control brightness, volume, and music playback.

The older plastic ones probably won't. At least that's my experience.

Yes, you can use Apple's Bluetooth wireless keyboard with the iPad. There are many (many!) threads with people discussing this keyboard.

For future reference in waiting for replies to a post/question: (1) Remember that this is an international forum and that many people don't see a post right away. Let at least 24 hours pass before being concerned that your post has been ignored. Commenting on how your post has been ignored after only two hours is a bit premature. (2) Any one browsing this forum and reading your post count as a post view. However, not everyone that views a post is registered to post and make a reply. So, don't let post views influence you.

Thanks.

Excellent question ipadder - cause I just bought a new Apple Wireless Keyboard (Model A1314 - seems as though people say the model is important to know) and I have having TONS of issues, specifically, after I pair and the keyboard is connected to my iPad 2, it after a a minute or so just stops working. Nothing helps at all; I should have gone with a cheaper, better compatible case (although you would think an Apple keyboard would be perfect for the iPad 2, right)? :-)
