Apple Will Launch Thinner iPad 5 And Retina iPad Mini Tomorrow Claims WSJ

Tomorrow is the big day for Apple and iPad fans, where the company is expect to unveil two new mobile devices; the iPad Mini 2nd generation and the iPad 5th generation. Tons of rumors have been tossed around for the past year and tomorrow is when we'll all find out what secrets Apple has been keeping. In before the lock, the Wall Street Journal today posts its final predictions for what will be shown at the October 22nd event.

Apple is now readying a revamped iPad Mini with a high-resolution “retina†display. It’s also working on a thinner, lighter version of its standard 9.7-inch iPad, using a thin film instead of the glass found in existing models, based on information from the company’s parts suppliers.

The publication notes that the iPad 5 will be releasing with a complete redesign as well as a few hardware changes. The device is expected to be sporting an A7X processor, which is an upgraded iPhone 5S chip with support of faster graphics for the larger screen. The 5th generation tablet is predicted to as have an 8 megapixel camera but lack the Touch ID sensor that was previously speculated before. The Journal also notes that the iPad Mini will lack Touch ID as well. However the device will hold an A7 chip, Retina display, and the same 8 megapixel camera as the iPad 5.
