It's been awhile since we heard any news regarding the Apple Watch and its production. News popping up on Thursday from Taiwan's United Daily News claims that Apple and supply partner Quanta Computer have solved its yield issues with Apple Watch components.

According to the report, Apple and Quanta Computer are ready to begin mass production of the Apple Watch sometime in January next year. Previously, the Apple Watch was rumored to begin production at the end on February, but Quanta recently increased its number of workers from 2,000 to 10,000, with a goal of 20,000 employees in total.

The first wave of Apple Watches shipped will be 3-5 million, with an expected 24 million shipped by the end of 2015. The Watch currently has yet to see a release date, with Apple only teasing us with an "early 2015" time-frame.
