MacRumors reports that Apple is busy readying a new in-house iOS app that is designed to make it easier for you to contact Apple support staff, as well as providing troubleshooting tips, and repair options for your iPhone, iPad, or other Apple device.
The well-connected Sonny Dickson shared some leaked screenshots of the forthcoming app with uSwitch Tech that give us a pretty good idea of what the app is all about.
As you can see, the app will enable you to chat directly with an advisor, call support, schedule an in-store appointment, and, of course, purchase AppleCare+!
An inside source told MacRumors that the app will be tied to your Apple ID, and will also automatically list all your Apple devices, along with pre-set troubleshooting pathways for each device. The source says that the app is “highly interactive and well integrated.”
As MacRumors notes, it is not yet known if this is a separate standalone app, or, rather, destined to be part of an upgrade to the current Apple Store app.
