Apple iMessage is Reportedly Suffering a Widespread Outage

According to multiple online reports, it seems that Apple's iMessage service is suffering from a widespread outage with many users being unable to send or receive messages. At the time of writing this, reports of the outage are slowing down, but we're still not sure if the issues are entirely resolved.

Apple hasn't yet acknowledged the issue on its system status page, but many users have been reporting issues with iMessage for the past 24 hours.

Some users say iMessage is not delivering any messages they try to send, while others say the app is delivering messages as an iMessage and as an SMS. Furthermore, there are some who say sending messages works but the images sent through iMessage don't get delivered. Also, several users claim that iMessages are taking a unusually long amount of time to send.

iMessage on my iPhone did not go down but it did slow down considerably, with messages taking minutes to appear after being sent.
