animation apps

Hi
I would like to do some animation work with 11-16 year old special educational needs students with a wide range of abilities.

Can anybody suggest a range of apps for creating animation / cartoons that may well be suitable.

Will pay but always looking for a good free option.

You might find the DoodleCast and Explain Everything apps worth checking out.

On a mostly unrelated note, if you aren't aware of the Khan Academy app (and website); you may also find it of interest.

As for actual animation creation apps, I've seen a few; but haven't tried any so I can't make recomendations.
