I have just moved and am trying to set up my airport express for AirPlay ...through my stereo to all the speakers in the house. This was set up and working in my last house. I have reset the airport express. I connect by ethernet cable to my network. I go to settings on my iPad, find the airport express, and begin the process. I have renamed the airport express and assigned a password. I selected "join an existing network" and then selected my wifi in the house. So far, it all works to textbook.
The steady green light shows. I disconnect Ethernet cable and bring over to my stereo. I plug back into power and connect the stereo to the airports headphone jack. The steady green light reappears. I open iTunes and select the newly named airport express. Press play and no music. Airport doesn't show up in airport utility either
