I recently bought an IPad 2 with Wi-Fi (but not 3G) - most impressed with the IPad and all of the applications which are available. I have wi-Fi at home and the IPad works well with my home network, and there do seem to be widely available wi-Fi connections available. I also have a Blackberry Bold which I use for email/phone and have a decent 3G plan through Bell Canada. This question may have been answered elsewhere (though I have not been able to find it) but is there some way that I can tether my IPad to my Blackberry so as to use the BB's 3G connection to connect the IPad to the internet when I cannot find a wi-Fi site. Any guidance/pointers anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated

In case the answer to the original question is that I cannot tether the IPad2 to a Blackberry Bold (and I have seen some threads which would suggest that), I recently purchased an IPhone4S for my wife which also has a good plan for Internet data through Bell Canada. If I cannot tether the IPad2 to my Blackberry Bold, can I do so using her IPhone4S?

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Regarding your question I have heard that tethering with a blackberry is possible, although I don't know the procedure for it, hopefully someone else will chime in here who does know. You can also tether with an iphone4s you may need to have this feature activated by your telco and yes a lot of them charge for this service, I think it may be about $20 per month. I hope this helps you.
