YouTube app finally for iPad

I just recived an update alert for my iPhone for youtube app, and says iPad and iPHone 5 optimized, wohoooooo bye bye jasmine welcome youtube, i already downloaded is awesome, just like in my iphone 4s,

Only downside appears to be that you can't play videos in the background. Attempting to restart the video in the old way restarts the Music app instead.

Oh, well. There's always Jasmine for that.

The UI is very clean and crisp. Unlike the alternatives, playlists and favorites are available. They have done a very good job.


This one definitely gets a thumbs up.

I had to check out the background play, because its a frequently asked question here. The answer at the moment will have to be "Use Jasmine or YouPlayer". Both of them will do it. Also, I'm a notorious fiddler. I couldn't resist trying it out.
