use 2 fingers...that is the same as a scroll bar in a table.

Two fingers ON the little magnifying glass? I tried that and you really can't get two on there....

And as little as I could, it didn't make it all that much faster.

No, forget the magnifying glass..that is for getting to a very specific place. If you want to scroll in a box place two fingers on the contents of the box and swipe up or down. Its like the bar on the side of the box. It is how you navigate tables on websites with the iPad.
