Virus protection

I know I keep hearing iPad and iPhone do not need virus protection software. But is this really true. I understand the apps are screened but what about while on the Internet.

Yes, it's true. I've had my 1 since they first came out, never had a problem.

Of course, I don't go to porn sites either.
