If you’re a videogames fan, and the sort of videogames fan that likes to read about your chosen subject in great depth, then you’ll doubtless be delighted to hear that Future Publishing’s excellent Edge magazine has now got its own iPad version. The iPad version of the well-respected multi-format magazine was created in partnership with games developer Square Enix (Final Fantasy), and hits the App Store today complete with an interactive cover wrap and three interactive adverts. The first iPad edition of Edge is also fully Retina display enabled, and features lots more interactive goodies that the print edition can only whimper about and look longingly at, such as animations, video, additional content and shareable text.
The Edge iPad edition is currently available to download for the introductory price of £1.99 for the first two weeks, following which, it will cost £3.99 per month (or local currency equivalent). A free sampler edition is also available.
