I got a SharePoint site setup at no cost, and the hosting provider, cloudappsportal, has some support/resource articles that mention using of SharePoint as a cloud storage option. It also talks about how SharePoint is superior to Dropbox in terms of being used to store, share and edit files. Has anyone had any experience with Moderator edit: external links not permitted by the rules cloud storing of files, videos, images etc.?

The main appeal of DropBox for iOS users is that it is supported by most of the popular apps. That, and it's a very reliable service.

Other services like SharePoint can offer much more targeted solutions, that will do a better job at certain tasks. Better or not? It all depends on what apps you want to use, and what features you want/need in order to share/store your files. Features you don't use don't matter. Being able to use the service where/whenever you need it. That matters.

I have a Box.com account, which I like better than DropBox for some uses. For instance the folder and permissions tools are much more powerful. But I keep DropBox too, because it's easy to use, and everywhere.

So. More research. And it's hardly a one-or-the-other choice. Use them both and decide what you like better; since they both have free tiers it's only about the time you are willing to invest finding out.
