Is there anyway to connect a USB to the iPad 2? Via a connector possibly? Is this at all possible?

You can buy the camera connection kit it has USB. Keyboards and some microphones work.

Yes. The camera kit offers a USB port, however there are very limited things you can do with it

The primary problem is that the iPad's USB port has a current drive capability of only 10 mA versus a 'regular' PC USB port of 300 mA or more. So there are relatively few peripherals or memory sticks that can work with this very low current. In addition, the iPad doesn't have the 'drivers' to support many USB peripherals, even for those that have external power supplies.

SweetPoison, is there a tweak for JB'd ipads which allows more USB devices to be used through the Apple camera connection kit? If so, what is it called? Thanks!

It would require more than a "tweak." Each device would require a driver specific to that device and potentially changes in the OS, itself.

If USB support is important to you a different tablet is probably your best option. The new Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet is possibly the best in that regard. It supports USB as well as SD card storage and full data encryption on such devices.

You'll be able to tell when Apple is preparing to provide comprehensive support for USB devices. The sure sign will be hell freezing over.

I recommend you a iPad USB charging&sync adapter. Using this adapter, you can connect a USB to the iPad 2. It's not expensive. It can not only be used to connect your USB, but also can be used for charging your iPad 2 through any USB port. I bought a RAVPower RP-UA01 Adapter from Amazon. It works well. Hope this answer will be helpful.
