How to make the iPad 2 touchscreen more sensitive?

Also, highlighting function is slow. How to speed it up? I use it a lot.

Have you tried a reboot by holding the home and power buttons together until the ipad shuts down?

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Yes, a reset is what you should be doing and see if it makes a difference and let us know how you go.
Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you may see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start.
