Following on from the sad news yesterday of Steve Jobs’ resignation as Apple CEO (although he has now been appointed Apple Chairman), MacRumors reports today that Jobs’ newly appointed successor, Tim Cook, has written an internal e-mail to Apple employees, which Ars Technica managed to get hold of today, and which it says is from a trusted source, and with verified headers. It’s an important email, with Cook reassuring Apple employees, and of course the intently watching wider world as well, that Apple will continue to thrive under his stewardship.
TUAW also posts a very interesting article about the man who Steve Jobs personally requested replace him as CEO in his resignation letter. The writer, Michael Grothaus, talks about his first ever meeting with Tim Cook, and says that since that first meeting, “I have never once worried about Apple post-Steve Jobs.†Check it out, it’s a great article.
