Apple CEO Tim Cook has recently sent out a memo to all employees ahead of the Apple Watch’s retail try-on kickoff this Friday. In it, Cook thanks the employees who have worked on the Apple Watch. The CEO also says that Apple Watch try-ons will begin in over 400 Apple Stores on Friday ahead of the official April 24th launch.

Cook also announced some major Apple Watch discounts for all employees - 50% off the aluminum sport and stainless steel models and $550 off of the gold Edition variations. Here's how the official memo that he sent out sounds like:

The current discount is pretty big and it is being immediately offered for employees, unlike new iPads or iPhones. The special pricing for employees will last for 90 days, when general Apple Watch pre-orders will begin.

I wonder if Apple employees have to get their order in at the same time as the rest of us.

That's a good question Sci. I have a friend who works for Apple-I should ask him!
