Streaming Ipad2 thru apple.tv to HD TV

I just purchased apple.tv and am attempting to stream my Ipad2 through it to my HD TV, but I don't know how to make it work. Can someone help?

Assuming your Apple TV is now set up and turned on, touch the airplay icon and it should start streaming.

If you haven't got it, try the Remote App from the App store, it makes controlling your Apple TV so much easier.

I had this problem and it took me hours to sort out!

It's dead easy.....ensure your apple tv is switched and showing on your tv

Make sure your iPad is connected to your wi-fi router

Make sure your apple tv is connected to your router

Now the bit that took me ages to find! Double click your home button on your iPad and apps appear at the bottom as usual! Swipe those apps to the right and a new sub menu appears with the apple tv icon showing.

Click apple tv and the mirror button if required.

Viola!
