Smart Keyboard draining battery

Is anyone else having a problem with their iPad Pro (mine is 2016) when connected to the Smart Keyboard, ever since I updated it iOS 12, it drains the batter super fast! Literally in the short time it is taking me to type this question, it went down 2%! Never had this issue in the past two years that I have been using this iPad and keyboard, this started after I updated my iPad Pro.

Hasn’t been an issue here. I also have the 2016 iPad Pro and smart keyboard.

If you have not done so recently, try restarting the iPad.

I’ts possible something has gone wrong with the keyboard, so that it is drawing more power than usual. You’d have to take it to an Apple Store and have them check it out to be sure.
