Just got a Mini. I am not a techie type but would like to aquire a sat nav app that is suitable for towing a caravan. Does anyone know if such a thing exists?

Not certain exactly what the question is. Sort of hard to imagine an iPad Mini pulling a trailer. If you mean simply to use the iPad Mini as a GPS, that's easy assuming it's a 4GLTE model which communicates very well with the navigation satellites. If you have a wifi only iPad mini, you are out of luck.

I have GPS drive and Google Maps besides the app that Apple includes with the mini at no cost. They all work.

Presumably you are in the UK, since you refer to "sat nav".

I'll try to second guess your requirements. Low bridges? Steer clear of Ely in Cambridgeshire because there's a low bridge there that takes the top off Transit vans. (I watched it happen). Dead end roads with no turnaround? The MotionX GPS HD app might work for you. I use it for getting around with a truck and trailer.

Give us a shout if you need any more specific help.
