Safari won't open

I am running iOS 4.3 and cannot open safari. As soon as it launches it shuts down. I have tried powering down a few times and it makes no difference.

This is a standard platform. Ie not jail broken or fiddled with.

Any help appreciated. Peter

Have you tried closing Safari?

This can be done by entering the Multitaskbar (hit home button twice), then keep your finger on top of the Safari symbol until it starts wiggling and finally press on the red x to close Safari.

Next step would be a soft reset.

Restart and Soft Reset
iPad: Turning on/off and resetting

If that doesn't work, call Apple. You are probably going to have to restore the iPad, but you might as well let them walk you through it. That way if things don't work you'll already be ready for whatever they decide the next step is.

Safari closing update

Thx for suggestions. Running wifi though that shouldnt be a consideration. Have shut down iPad completely as well as shutting down safari itself from task bar. Problem still there.

Just to add to annoying new problems, my work outlook email won't replicate since last Wednesday (though will do so on my iPhone).

May have to get apple support involved. May all be iOS 4.3 new "features"!
