Just recently safari suddenly opened with an untitled page instead of favorites. I am now issuer how to acces my bookmarks. The bookmarks folder is empty. How do I fix this? I restarted my iPad and downloaded the newest update but it is not working. I also restarted safari.

Try going to Settings > Safari and make sure Favorites are pointed at the correct folder.

The Favorites Tab is always pointed at the default Favorites folder; but the Favorites screen that shows up when all tabs are closed can be pointed to any bookmark folder. If that folder is empty, the screen is blank.

Force quit Safari, if your settings are right: double tap the Home button to show the App Switcher, then slide the thumbnail below the Safari app icon towards the top of the screen.

If that doesn't help either, force start your iPad: press and hold Home and Power button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. As soon as you see the logo, let go of both buttons. The iPad will power up on it's own.
