MCVUK reports today that a remastered version of Tim Schafer’s classic LucasArts adventure game Grim Fandango is available now in the App Store for iOS, priced $14.99, but the price is discounted for the first week of released, so you can snap it up for $9.99 if you’re quick.
Double Fine’s Grim Fandango Remastered first appeared on PlayStation 4 and PC earlier in the year, and the iOS version has everything that those versions had, with no downgrades whatsoever.
That means that the iOS version of the game comes complete with higher resolution textures, dynamic lighting, a re-recorded live orchestral soundtrack, and a two-hour developer commentary.
The original Grim Fandango first appeared on PC in 1998, and was one of the last LucasArts games to be released. It’s very much considered a classic of the genre, and it’s good to see that this version has been developed with some members of the original team involved.
