Readdle is already known for making some very useful business apps for the iPad, most notably PDF Expert and ReaddleDocs. Today the company has announced the arrival of a new app in the App Store – Remarks, which enables handwriting, note-taking and PDF annotating on your iPad. Remarks is also designed to be a powerful PDF annotation tool, which can be used to review documents and make comments in text books. Readdle says that Remarks brings convenient writing to the iPad, using a selection of different tools, including several different paper types, different coloured pens and highlighters, floating text boxes, different shapes, and an eraser. You can also use the app to add annotations, notes and comments to existing PDF documents. You can highlight text in PDF files, write comments on top of the text, and even draw simple diagrams. Remarks has also been designed with collaboration in mind – notes shared via email can be opened and changed by any other person who is using the app. These notes are also then editable with Adobe Reader and Apple Preview on the Mac and PC.
