The first time I tried to sync my iPad after updating my iMac to 10.11, the iTunes Summary page had this graphic at the bottom:

overcapacity.jpg

iTunes refused to sync, saying the iPad could not be found.

Quitting and relaunching iTunes fixed the issue.

Hi Lanny - boy, that is weird and glad the 'fix' was easy!

I have an iMac & MBPro to upgrade from Yosemite, but decided to wait a little (while checking on the MacForums for any negative comments); likely will wait for the first minor update to El Capitan. Dave :)

El Cap is working pretty well here. Mail.app is blisteringly fast with Gmail IMAP, a huge improvement over every previous version's miserable performance. One caution: if you have any old Adobe CS apps, deauthorize and remove them before updating to 10.11. Reinstall after the OS update.
