Newbie Safari query

Trying to clear Safari History. Ipad for Dummies shows a menu that includes History, current date, clear history, Home and google search.

However my screen only has one menu - pictured above the missing one - that includes bookmark and the search entry panel.

How do I display the missing menu?

To close a tab (I hope that's what you meant), tap the x here:

History can be deleted in Settings - Safari:




Or in the app. There, tap the book icon (top right), to see your favorites and bookmarks. You'll see "History" there as well.


Tap History to view websites you visited:




Tap "Clear" there, next thing to see is this:




Select "Clear History".
