Hi guys and gals,
New user from the UK
Just treated myself to an iPad2 and loving it.
However, having purchased the Camera Connection Kit I am having difficulty getting my photos from my phone to the iPad.
Basically, the iPad refuses to acknowledge the CCK - I've done a search on this forum and seen a couple of solutions but to no avail with my hardware.
Any suggestions would be great....

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

The CCK can only read photos that are formatted quite precisely. Is that the problem? Have you tried renaming the photos to conform to the standard required?

Forgive my ignorance but where would I find details / instructions on the required standard?
Have to say the infornation on the Apple website is next to useless!

As for the iPad - having used a iPhone for a good few years now, I was tempted by the bigger screen and the ability to truly use it as a work tool and so far I've not been disappointed - other than the issues with getting my photos onto the thing.
Tried syncing but that doesn't seem to allow me to use seperate albums - unless I'm missing something obvious of course!

Yes - you can use separate albums. Put your photos into separate albums on the PC/Mac before you sync and those albums will be reproduced on the iPad. Using the native iPad 'Photos' app, there's no way to create albums *directly* on the iPad, only indirectly via a synch. However, if this is too cumbersome for you, there are plenty of third-party (many free) apps, that don't have this restriction.
