New to forum: how to use Find Command

Hi Everyone.
I am new to this forum and this is an introductory note to say hi to all subscribers. Like many of you, iwould like to learn from other people experience in usig ipad efficiently.
For example, I'd like to know how to search a document using Find command.

Hi, back, and welcome to the forum! Good to "see" you and I hope you enjoy your visits.

Can you tell us in which app you are trying to find something? Each app works on a stand-alone basis and don't interact with others. And, some may not have a search function.

However, if you tell us in which app your are looking, someone will hopefully have that app and be able to assist you.

In general, let's say on a web browser, reading a news, and you want to find a word.

Oh, in Safari its pretty easy (and well done by Apple). When in Safari and at the article, tap on the search bar. Your keyboard will come up with a place to type in the search term. Like this:

At least, this is what I do on my iPad3 running iOS 5.1.1. Hope this helps.
