Please help!

When I open a new tab (or "page") in safari, it automatically puts my cursor in the google search field, requiring two extra taps to get to the URL field. (one to exit the search field and one to enter the URL field.)

I know I shouldn't be too concerned by two extra taps, but it's really a pain! Is there any (easy) way to change this?

Thanks!

Outside my iPad, or was it inside?
This behavior is standard in Safari and sadly cannot cannot be changed.

You could just write the whole website address in the google search field and then choose the first google search result. But this will still require 2 extra taps, one for clearing previous searches and one for selecting the results.

The only real solution is to use a different browser.
