Boy Genius Report has today posted images that are said to be from an iPad 3 prototype, and which apparently reveal some snippets of information about the iPad 3. The data shown in the screenshots is said to be from an iPad 3, and obtained with debug tool iBoot. Among the tidbits it throws up are two model numbers (J1 and J2), which BGR says are not two different devices, rather two versions of the same iPad, one Wi-Fi-only and one with Wi-Fi and embedded GSM/CDMA/LTE for all carriers. The screenshots also appear to confirm that the iPad 3 will have an A6 processor, which will be quad-core, as was previously rumoured some weeks ago. The processor’s model number is even revealed in the screenshots – S5L8945X. BGR notes that this would make the iPad 3 the fastest iOS device ever. Looks like we should start looking forward to an iPad 3 launch event pretty soon![/FONT]
