Unfortunately, no. The "best" way to do am mass delete on the iPad is still somewhat of a kludge, IMNSHO.
In the Inbox and with the iPad in portrait mode (so you see more e-mails on the left), select the Edit button on the top right. Then, press on every mail you want to delete. Do note that once you've pressed the first e-mail, a red dot will be filled in next to it and the three buttons on the button will become active. Once you have finished selecting the e-mails you want to toss, press on the button titled "Delete."
And that's the "easiest" way. Oh, and also, if you delete mail from your Inbox with this, you'll still have to go in and delete them from the Trash. But, there, the best part is that, once you've pressed the Edit button, the Delete button will appear and say Delete All. So, you don't have to select them one at a time (though, if you DO select one email, that Delete All button will change to a regular Delete button and you will have to then select the one at a time...). This is a new change with the iOS as before it was the ole one at a time thing like the Inbox...
Clear as mud, right? Hopefully, you can glean something out of this. Good luck.
