Hi, oh boy, another forum, being a jazz piano player, this is just the place for me. I view these Apple forums as a great pace where everyone is helpful and civil.

My question is: what music app will allow me to import wav and/or midi files, and loop (repeat) them? I've heard GaragebBand lacks an import feature. Thanks

Garageband will import songs from iTunes using File Sharing or from the Music app on the iPad. I'm not sure what formats are compatible.

This Apple support site may help you figure out what GarageBand can and can't do. The import options are covered under "Build a GarageBand Song"

    http://help.apple.com/garageband/ipad/1.3/index.html

I'm pretty sure that only the OS X version of GarageBand will import MIDI.
