iPad for managing photos (NAS, Facebook)

Our PC is on its last legs but we take a lot of high res images on my wife's SLR and want to store the originals on a wireless networked NAS, I was wondering if there is any way if I buy the camera for iPad that I could connect the camera and then do Facebook / NAS versions without ever having to physically attach it to PC?

If there is one thing that the iPAD is inferior - It is photos.
In the Apples way. Photos need to be stored on the PC. The ipad is a temporary storage to these photos after you Sync it , with what I call the iTune Virus.
Hopefully iPAD-2 is going to do a better job, about it.
