It should automatically store passwords and join known networks. So there's no specific place where you store the password, the pop up will appear the first time it encounters a new network, once connected the ipad will reconnect automatically to that network from then on, unless you chose to forget the network.

I'm having the same issue with a Verizon 4G iPad3. Only with the WiFi at my work though. At home I am just automatically connedted to my WiFi network, but when I get to work, the WiFi network there is not remembered. I always have to select it from the scanned list and enter the WPA2 key.

It would be nice for this to work consistently.

I'm having a similar problem. I was asked to reset the network, which wiped out all memory of networks and passwords. Now it won't remember any networks. I have to key in the password every time.

Any ideas? I tried resetting the network again. Ugh.

It is off. Comment below says that known networks will be joined automatically. I have two networks, one on each floor, one is joined automatically, the other i need tomretype the pwd every time

Try turning it "on". The next time you enter the correct PW, it should be saved and you should not have to enter it again. If that doesn't work, better have a "genius" at the Apple Store take a look at it.

If you have one network that doesn't function properly, tell the ipad to forget it, then allow it to find it again.

I use many networks in my travels and most of them work perfectly without needing to input passwords. I would reset network settings only as a last resort.

I leave mine "ON" because I wish to be reminded when new network appears. This should not impact your iPad's ability to find and connect to a network.
