When I was about 12 y/o, we moved from Toledo, Ohio to Michigan, just over the state line - our house (arrow below on satellite map) was less than a 100 yards from the 2nd green of a golf course - that hole was a par 5 and was lined w/ heavy brush & woods along its entire left side - so early in my teens, I would find dozens of golf balls and then sell them to the golfers coming up that hole - seemed quite profitable for a youngster - believe that my top price back then (early 1960s was a buck for a ball in 'like new' shape) - in my mid-teens I caddied and also worked as an assistant to the greens keeper & handyman. The course actually spanned the state line which a golfer would cross a number of times in a round - last saw the place in 1971 and I'm sure there has been a LOT of re-modelling to that house. Dave

This storm chased us on our trip east. We had a break (we got ahead of the storm) when we checked in at our motel and had dinner. I made it inside before it poured but saw some lightening.
