I can't buy from the App Store

Since upgrading to IOS7 my I pad 3 now refuses to purchase anything from the App Store. I get the text 'This is not a testers account'., and requests me to open a new account in the sandbox environment. I had no problem with IOS6 so what's going on now. I don't know what this sandbox is, and why should I create a new account when this one has worked fine for the last 2 years.

Try going to the first tab in the App Store, scrolling to the bottom of the page, tapping on your Apple ID, and sign out. After a short wait tap in the same place and sign back in with your Apple ID.


That said, it almost sounds like you upgraded to iOS 7 using a beta and code supplied from a developer. If you played with any of the betas you will probably have to do some work to get it properly updated. This is beyond my own expertise. You'd need the help of some of our jailbreak experts, who can usually be found hanging out in the hacking area of the forum.

I upgraded via the App Store it was not a beta, I went from the last ios6 to 7.0.2. I have sorted this out by restoring my iPad. There must have been a glitch when it upgraded, my phone upgraded fine. Oh well everything is ok now. Thanks for replying.

I'm glad you got it fixed. That's one of the stranger upgrade glitches I've heard this round.
