When I retired I bought the original iPadnand they came out with new one, iPad 2. It was bad timing on my part.
I recently bought the iPad Mini but have lots of issues with it. I do love the camera, size, retina display, convenience, Siri and size.

I can't sync it to my computer and don't like iCloud. I can't play my music unless I am on WiFi. I can't delete apps or
photos because they are permanently in iCloud.

I can't download the newest version of iTunes. It is frustrating trying to move music from my old iPad to the Mini.

Hi Karen,

The mini doesn't have a retina display. We hope it the next version will.

You need to get an up-to-date version of iTunes for the mini. Why can you not download the latest version? Even if you don't have the latest version, you should be able to sync at least to the previous version. Are you using iTunes Match? Why do you need wifi to play music?

Your apps are not really stored in iCloud. They have to be on your iPad to run. You can delete them from your iPad anytime you like. You can redownload them from the App Store on your iPad or via iTunes on your computer.

Why do you have to move music from your old iPad to your Mini? If you bought the music from iTunes then you can just download it to the mini. If you transferred the music to your old iPad from ripped CD, you need to use iTunes to transfer the music to your mini just as you did with your old iPad.

I think we need you to give as much information as possible so we can be sure how to offer you advice that you can use.

My music is being stored to iCloud which Means I can only play my music when I am connected to the Internet and iCloud. I don't like iCloud. Can I delete my account?

How do I store my music on my Mini iPad so I can access anytime and anywhere?

Also, I want to sync with this iPad over WiFi and can't find that option in iTunes. Can you please help me.

Go to iTunes on the iPad. Go to the Purchased tab. Select the Not on this iPad option, then start downloading your music. Once it is stored locally on the iPad you will not longer need a wi-fi connection to play it.

Optionally you can download your music into iTunes on a computer and sync it to the iPad.

Deleting your iCloud account will make absolutely no difference. The music you are seeing is not in iCloud, and takes up none of your iCloud storage allotment. It's a list of music you have purchased in iTunes. Lately I've heard people saying it will stream in the Music app, which is new. Normally you could only download, and play at the same time. I don't know what has changed on that front. I can't duplicate the feature.
