How to delete a contact from my email names

In my email names I have a name which I would like to delete completely.
How do I do this please?

Unfortunately, you don't. This is a "feature" of Apple's in that Every. Single. Address you put into the Mail app stays there, even if the person has long moved on or you put the wrong one in.

This has been a continued flaw (IMO) in the Mail app on the iPad that has not been repaired by Apple ... yet. All I can do is offer you sympathy and the sure and certain knowledge of knowing that you are not the only one who wants to be able to delete addresses from the auto-fill section of the Mail app.
