The upgrade went flawlessly for my iPad and now upgrading my iPod Touch! No "issues" thus far! (fingers crossed)

What <Option> are you referring to?

I have the Update downloaded. How do I update the iPad without the Backup running. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an option I can find and backups take 48+ hours because of the horrifyingly bad Apple software.
