It took them quite a while, but Google has finally come up with the much-awaited update that makes the Play Music app available for iPad users, as well. Google Play Music is a music streaming service and online music locker operated by Google, which was launched 3 years ago, in November 2011.

Google made available the app for iPhone users back in November, 2013, and now, after 1 year and 3 months, the app is finally being made available for iPad users, as well. Just follow the link at the end to download the updated iOS version of the app.

Besides bringing the app to iPad users, now both the iPhone and iPad apps have new Material Design UI, with the following new elements:
  • Beautiful new artist and album pages with descriptions
  • Immersive Now Playing experience
  • Small visual improvements throughout
Google also mentions that other improvements to streaming and automatic caching have been deployed, as well, in order to make make music playback faster and more reliable. So, it looks that this is a pretty complete app, and if you've been waiting for this moment, grab your iPad and start tidying up your music collection.
