GMail deleting files

Just got IPad2. How can I delete emails in inbox and trash all at once? Is this possible or do I have to do each one individually? Thanks

You have to do them individually. There is no easy way to select all and then delete them. But those in trash can be deleted automatically at an interval defined by you in the 'Settings' menu.

Thanks. I never have too many in inbox but I'll definitely set limit on trash folder.

Depends what you mean by individually. You can select multiple messages to delete in your inbox by using the edit button and selecting all the files you wish to deal with, then just hit delete to get rid of them all at once. No simple select all, but I wouldn't define this as being individually either.

Excellent point - I should have mentioned this. It's certainly a quicker way than select-delete-select-delete etc. Many thanks
