Getting new iPad--how do we change the name

We will be getting my wife a new iPad.
I asume at startup they will ask for our Apple password.
The problem is that it will then say "Hello Myname."

We want it to say "Hello Hername"

Can this be done? If so, how?

A new iPad will request a user name, then a password. This is an opportunity for your wife to create her own Apple ID.

If you are talking about the name that shows up wireless networks, airdrop, etc., then Settings > About > Name.

The name it uses for Siri is in Contacts. Select her contact info in Settings > Contacts > My Info. Fill out the nickname field if you want to use something other than her given first name.

Or you can just tell Siri “I want you to call me NAME”

Hold in mind that as long as you keep uisng the same Apple ID and iCloud account as your’s, this will change on both devices. Not just hers.
