I've been a member but have never posted since 2012. I come on the forum and just read other posts. I really like your forum a lot. My name is Jon and I go by train because I'm retired from the railroad. Anyway I have a question for Marilyn, I have a ipad 2 and it's on 7.1 no jb but would it be better to upgrade to 7.11 and wait until the new jb comes out ?

Yeah. Unfortunately, since you're already on iOS 7.1, there is no jail break for that iOS. From what I've 'heard" (always take hearing stuff with a grain of salt) - there is no active work on iOS 7.1.x for jail breaking. Everyone's waiting to see what iOS 8 brings.

So, you might as well go on up to iOS 7.1.1 and take advantage of the most current iOS. Then, it'll just be a matter of watching for (1) the public release of iOS 8 and (2) a jail break release of iOS 8 (we hope...).
