Have you checked to see if the microphone hole is plugged with debris. This would be one possible cause of poor sound. If there is some debris there, you could try sucking it out with a small nozzle on the vacuum cleaner.

Yes I have, and it is brand new also. There was a ceiling fan running over my head and I just wonder that even if I can't hear it, that the movement of air is causing it?
